Deuteronomy - Double Spread

Artist Avner Moriah uses the modern-day symbol of the Kol Yisrael (Radio Israel) station to illustrate the Hebrew word for האזינו ("Hear") -- the opening word of Chapter 32 in the Book of Deuteronomy.

He compares various verses in the Torah that feature the Creation story, Noah's ark, the plagues in Egypt, commandments and blessings.

The image of an eagle who rouses his nestlings, gliding down to his young, which is mentioned in Deuteronomy 32:11, conveys a special symbolic feeling of God's care for all His creatures.
