The Gathering at Mt. Sinai

Mount Sinai was covered with smoke, because the Lord come down upon it in fire. The smoke billowed up from it like smoke from a furnace, and the whole mountain trembled violently. The blare of the horn grew louder and louder. As Moses spoke, God answered him in thunder. The Lord came down to Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses went up (Exodus 19:18-20).
